Lorenzo Ovens

Lorenzo Ovens

Lorenzo Ovens is a business that provides custom wood fired oven builds, Italian catering, personal chef services, and cooking classes. This was an ongoing project that involved taking his already created branding to create an overall presentation for branding and marketing. The primary goal of the website is to showcase Lorenzo’s work so users can learn more about him, what he does and generate sales leads by giving users an ability to contact him for specific services.

To build this website I used HTML/CSS, SASS, the Materialize framework, Javascript, jQuery, the WordPress content management system, and custom PHP. I also retooled and customized the underscores base theme in order to add features that weren’t otherwise available.

Marketing Collateral

Along the way, I continued to utilize two of my favorites from Adobe — Illustrator and InDesign. This meant matching Lorenzo’s website and branding in regard to color and typography to create different outdoor banners, business cards and other collateral that Lorenzo uses to market and promote his services.

Zetus Lapetus

Zetus Lapetus

Zetus Lapetus is a company focused on creating customized virtual reality technology made for iOS and Android phones.

To create this project a complete style guide was created to go by and base all of the development work off. This project was a collaboration between four other group members. To build this project I worked alongside another developer using HTML/CSS, SASS, Javascript, jQuery and PHP. My focus was the development of the front page, repeating elements, such as the header and footer, and the creation of a global grid system.

Oenophera

Oenophera

Oenophera is a company that specializes in wine distribution with a page solely dedicated to their portfolio of wines from vineyards located in Minnesota and around the midwestern United States.

The entire branding for this project was originally inspired by the logo that I created a couple of years ago.

To design the site I used Illustrator for wireframing and static mockups and then began structuring the project using HTML/CSS, Javascript, and jQuery, along with AJAX functionality on the portfolio page.

I took the brand a little further by creating various animated google ads to go with the brand by using Animate CC to output an HTML5 canvas for the animation to take place. To do this, I utilized Google’s standardized sizes within their google ad documentation as well as plan and concept different storyboards for various sized ads.

WP Destinations WordPress Plugin

WP Destinations WordPress Plugin

The Uptown Vine was a static information based website from an HTML/CSS class at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. It was developed with some basic functionality using the Google Maps API, jQuery, and Javascript to output location based information based on map markers.

WP Destinations
The WP Destinations Map Plugin was developed as my solution to taking this type of functionality to the next level by converting addresses into google map coordinates to be stored as post meta data to be pulled back out to be used on the front end to output relational posts.
